<%@ language="JavaScript" %> ORGALIME: Financing

Orgalime is a non-profit making organisation established under Belgian law (Association Internationale Sans But Lucratif - AISBL). Orgalime is essentially financed on a subscription basis through its member federations.

A system of fixed and variable subscriptions is used which is designed to create a balance between large and smaller countries in terms of subscriptions and representation.

Although part of the subscription is fixed, the bulk of the budget is divided between countries according to a coefficient table based on numbers employed (this is the variable part). The secretariat carries out an enquiry every three years to establish the number employed in companies which are members of Orgalime's associations and which operate in sectors covered by Orgalime. The results enable a table of coefficients to be calculated on the basis of which subscriptions to Orgalime are fixed.
Further income is generated through the "Bridgehead" agreements provided to a number of European Sector Committees and through the sale of publications.
