Environment

Societal challenges are wide, and so are the solutions offered by Orgalime industries in realising a sustainable, resource and energy efficient, low carbon, ‘green’ economy!

Orgalime industries not only favour a high level of environmental protection in its own manufacturing processes in Europe, but its industries are proactive and committed to constantly improving the environmental performance of the products that it supplies to its clients, whether professional customers or private consumers.

At the same time, manufacturers are expected to provide competent, reliable and practical replies to the requirements of the market in order to satisfy the needs of their customers. Therefore, manufacturers have to guarantee the proper environmental performance of their products without compromising for example the safety and fitness for purpose of the manufactured good.

The increasing number of legislative initiatives that our industries are faced with in the field of the environment should therefore not lead to a situation that would undermine the engineering industry’s competitiveness at European and at global scale. In particular, coherence and coordination are key factors for environmental legislation that could work in practice and constitute the basis for a business friendly investment climate in the spirit of the EU’s Industrial Policy.
