Energy and Environment team


Orgalime representing the European Technology Industries looks for a proactive, motivated colleague to join its dynamic energy and environment team:

Your responsibilities and main tasks include:

  • Follow, monitor and analyse developments on EU energy and environment policy issues, and in particular EU environmental product policy, ecodesign and energy labelling, ecolabel, water policy and other relevant circular economy topics for the sector
  • Gather, process, analyse and disseminate information, support the Energy and Environment team on handling members inquiries and providing advice, drafting position papers, newsletter entries, briefings, notes and various other communications etc.
  • Prepare and follow up task force meetings
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, events, conferences, workshops etc.

Required profile:

  • University degree, preferably in engineering, environment/energy, economics or political science; at least 3 years of relevant working experience in an EU policy environment and/or in the technology sector;
  • Thorough understanding of the functioning of the EU institutions, regulatory processes and relevant policy issues, and of the business environment of EU technology industries - a grasp of EU industry realities and challenges
  • Excellent knowledge of English (working language) and at least one other EU language
  • Ability to process information and synthesis information in a concise and structured way, own-initiative and independent worker, excellent drafting skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and deliver quality work also under time constraints
  • Team player, eager to work in a small, dynamic, international team
  • Oral and written communication skills and strong inter-personal skills
  • Computer, internet and social media savvy
