Economic consequences of the revision of the Machinery Directive : costs in terms of man

Orgalime is against the revision of the Machinery Directive.  We believe that this piece of legislation does not need an overhaul at this time, as the European mechanical engineering industry needs regulatory stability and not an increased bureacratic burden.  Industry expects that the revision of the Machinery Directive will entail costs in terms of additional effort for companies (expressed in man-days of qualified workers and engineers checking on the proposed changes).
