Industrial Emissions Directive - Safeguarding technical content of conclusions reached at Seville Technical Working Group

Industrial Emissions Directive (IED)

During the last Article 13 Forum on 9 March 2011, the Commission indicated that the guidance and BAT conclusions should be developed in a parallel process to enable that the lessons learned in developing BAT conclusions are reflected in the guidance and vice versa.

The IE Alliance, concerned about losing technical content of the conclusions reached at the Seville TWG, took a step forward by sending a joint position co-signed by 13 associations.

The joint position focuses on securing full transparency for all contributors during the process and users afterwards (allowing comparison).

This is an issue for all BREFs (those under revision and future revisions/new BREFs).
