COP24 sends important signal: Towards a global roadmap for bringing the Paris Agreement to life

This weekend’s agreement of governments at the UN global climate summit in Katowice (COP24) is an important step for making the 2015 global Paris climate accord operational. “Europe’s technology industries welcome the progress made at global level and the EU’s determination in driving international negotiations to a tangible outcome,” states Malte Lohan, Director General of Orgalime, “all around the globe, we need to accelerate action as the next decade is crucial and global challenges require global responses. And the good news is that technology wise the transformation is feasible and makes sense for the environment, the people and the industry.
